SitecoreAI now supports site search sources, enabling you to build search experiences using content indexed from websites.
When creating a search source, you can now choose between a:
Content source - indexes structured content from the Content editor using a content template.
Site source - crawls and indexes website content using sitemap-based discovery and configurable extraction settings.
When creating a site source, you configure which websites will be crawled, and how content will be extracted and mapped. SitecoreAI then builds a search index that can be used by search components.

Optimization of new version creation in translation jobs
The creation of new item versions during the translation process has been optimized to reduce load spikes for the SQL database and improve the accuracy of the progress indicator.
Improve translation job behavior when SitecoreAI restarts.
When a translation job is interrupted by a SitecoreAI restart, it now appears as failed rather than incorrectly appearing to be still running.
Save all blob data with fields containing base64 strings to blob storage
Move embedded media blob data to Azure Blob Storage on startup. This will improve performance as reading media content from the database is less efficient that reading it from blob storage. The migration runs once as a background job and skips resource items.
Security enhancements
The latest release of the SitecoreAI base image 1.8.24 includes the following resolved issues:
Fixed an issue where checkbox state in the Content Editor would become unchecked due to a race condition occurring during save event validation.
Resolved defect where media items stored in items-as-resources (IAR) package were not being uploaded to blob storage by adding check to verify if IARs contain blob field IDs.
Improved page stability to prevent rendering issues when processing internal and external links on pages.
Resolved issue where the Insert Link dialog in the Content Editor failed to open when there was a large number of linkable sites in the environment.
Fixed defect where the clone rendering script in the Content Editor was not creating the necessary scaffolding actions and failing to create the rendering variants folder.
Resolved an issue where supported languages did not work correctly for users without edit permissions, ensuring a consistent multilingual experience for all users.
Added additional validation logic to alt field validator on DAM connector to match kernel logic. This ensures that the DAM connector correctly validates the alt field for images when enabled.
Resolved issue where Out Of Memory exception was thrown during index rebuild when per-site standard values and language fallback are enabled.
Breaking Change: Legacy package management replaced by modern deployment and content transfer tools.
Effective July 7, 2026, the Package Designer will be transitioned to modern, supported deployment and content transfer approaches.
From this date onward, content movement, module installation, and custom code deployment will be handled through the enhanced methods outlined below, designed to provide greater reliability and alignment with cloud-native best practices.
Rollout Schedule
This change will be rolled out in stages, beginning with non-production environments.
July 7, 2026: Non-production rollout. The change is deployed to non-production environments.
July 7 to 15, 2026: Optional promotion to production.
Once validated, the change can be deployed to the production environment at any time during this window using the Deploy app.
July 15, 2026: Automatic production deployment. Any production environment not already deployed will be automatically updated to this change on this date.

We’ve made several updates to Marketer MCP tools and Agent API endpoints to better support personalization, A/B/n testing, component management, and site data retrieval.
What's included
Variant-specific targeting
You can now use the optional variantId parameter to target a specific personalization or A/B/n test variant. This is supported for Marketer MCP tools and Agent API endpoints related to page management:
retrieving components
setting component datasources
listing allowed components
retrieving HTML, screenshots, and preview URL
When variantId is provided, you can retrieve and update data for a specific variant instead of working with the page only.
Component variant management
New Marketer MCP tools and corresponding Agent API endpoints are available for managing component variants in personalization and A/B/n tests.
You can now:
Hide components on the default page variant of a personalized page.
Reset personalization or A/B/n test setup applied to a component.
Improved API responses
Agent API responses now include additional fields that provide more context.
editablePlaceholders has been added to page details to show placeholder metadata, improving usability and providing better context for API consumers.
is_page_folder has been added under page_locations so agents can identify and discover page folders when retrieving sites and pages.
Authorization updates
OAuth client scopes have been updated to resolve an issue when retrieving all components of a site. The following scopes are now required:

In Agentic studio, you can now review AI activity and approve proposed changes in the Chat interface before anything is saved.
When you use free-form prompts to create, update, or translate content in SitecoreAI, the Chat interface shows the tools AI uses and any proposed changes. A review card lets you compare current and proposed values, edit suggestions, skip individual changes, or decline the request.
This review flow gives you full control over what gets saved, helping you verify accuracy, catch issues, and approve changes with confidence.

New capabilities
Image migration for any website — When migrating from an any-website source, you can now choose whether to include media and images in the migration. When enabled, the migration engine scrapes, transfers, and imports images from your source site into SitecoreAI. The import layer also returns the GUIDs of media items that already exist in the target environment, avoiding duplicate uploads for items that were previously migrated. This capability applies only when you select the source type Any website and is not available for Sitecore XM or XP source migrations.
Automatic Download Export Structure item creation — The Download Export Structure item is now created automatically in the Sitecore Content Editor when you click the Initialize Migration button. This removes the manual export structure procedure in local PowerShell that was previously required before you could proceed with the export structure JSON.
Per-group status in template mapping — The template mapping step now displays the AI processing status for each individual template group. This gives you clearer visibility into which groups have completed analysis, are in progress, or require attention before you proceed.
Individual URL selection for any-website migration — When you select the source type Any website, you can now supply a specific list of URLs to migrate instead of relying solely on the site's sitemap. This gives you precise control over which pages are included, without requiring a full sitemap-based crawl.
Migration metrics reset correctly on re-run — When re-running a migration with updated AI instructions, metrics, such as group counts and page statuses, now reset correctly instead of accumulating from previous runs.
Migration workflow improvements
Multi-language content migration — SitecoreAI Pathway now improves migrating content across multiple languages when migrating from Sitecore XM or XP sources. Language context is preserved throughout the extraction, mapping, and import stages, ensuring that language versions arrive correctly in your target SitecoreAI environment.
Migration guidance for the Any website source updated — The instructions and workflow guidance for migrating from any website (non-XM/XP source) have been revised to reflect the current capabilities and steps.
Dynamic placeholder mapping for partial designs — SitecoreAI Pathway now correctly maps dynamic placeholders that appear within partial design renderings during XM migration, resolving cases where these were previously omitted from the migrated output.
Placeholder key pattern accuracy — The AI component mapping engine has been updated with improved placeholder key pattern recognition, resulting in more accurate mapping of components to their correct placeholder locations in XM Cloud page templates.
Source site data coverage — The AI mapping phase now reliably processes all pages from your source site. Previously, a subset of source pages could be silently omitted from the mapping output under certain conditions; this has been resolved to ensure complete and consistent coverage across grouping, template mapping, and component mapping.
Structure export improvements (SXPSiteExtraction — v1.0.5)
Language field included in extracted output — Extracted .json files now include a language key, ensuring language context is preserved through the full migration pipeline.
Deeply nested field values extracted correctly — A bug that caused some deeply nested field values to be extracted incompletely has been resolved.
Improved performance — Internal refactoring of the extraction engine results in faster extraction runs, particularly for larger sites.
Improved rerun logging — When running extraction on a site that was partially extracted previously, the tool now produces clearer log output indicating which items were skipped and why.
Package renamed — The extraction package is now distributed as SXPSiteExtraction.zip (previously XMComponentExtraction-<version>.zip). The version number is included inside the package. Update any automation or documentation that references the old filename.
Reliability and error-handling improvements
Accurate migration status when all component mapping pages fail — Previously, if all pages failed during the component mapping step, the workflow status incorrectly reported as completed. This has been corrected.
Media file paths updated consistently — A fix ensures that media file paths are correctly updated across all migrated content, resolving cases where some media references pointed to incorrect locations after migration.
Session expiry handling — Users are now automatically redirected to the login page when their session expires, rather than encountering an unexplained error state.
Search now applies across all pages — The search function in the migration dashboard now searches across all records, not only those visible on the current paginated page.
The new Content Transfer API and Item Transfer API provide a complete workflow for transferring content between Sitecore environments. Together, these APIs let you create and upload transfer packages, consume transferred content into a destination environment, monitor transfer progress, inspect transferred items, retry failed transfers, and review transfer history.

Audience builder is now available in SitecoreAI to help you define and manage reusable profile groups, such as returning customers, new site visitors, campaign visitors, or visitors interested in specific products or topics. Each audience is created using rules based on available profile data.
What's new
You can now use the Audience builder to create audiences by selecting profile data attributes and defining rules that determine which profiles belong to the audience. Attributes can include profile details, session information, events, and traits.
You can also combine rules and create more specific profile groups from multiple rules or rule groups.
You can also calculate the estimated audience size before setting an audience live to help you check whether the current rules match the profiles you want to include.
How it works
In Audience Builder, you add and refine rules that define the profiles you want to include in an audience.
When the audience is live, SitecoreAI evaluates profile data against the audience rules to determine whether each profile is included or not included in the audience. SitecoreAI then saves the result on profiles, where you can view each profile's audience membership.

Extended profile attributes - build audiences using customer-specific profile data, in addition to standard attributes.
You can now select a specific audience for an A/B/n test using the condition builder.
In the A/B/n test settings modal, under Optional configuration, use the new Audience targeting section to define who participates in the test. Only site visitors who match the defined conditions are included in the test and randomly assigned to a variant. Visitors who do not match the conditions are not exposed to the test.

Admins can create and manage different brief types so teams and campaigns can use the structure that best fits their needs.
When creating a brief, marketers select a brief type as the starting point. The selected type determines which fields are shown, ensuring key details such as objectives, audiences, and timelines are captured in a clear and consistent format.
Why it matters
Previously, all briefs used the same default structure. Now, admins can create different types for different campaign needs.
Because each brief is based on a selected brief type, marketers only see the fields that are relevant to that brief. This helps teams capture the right information without unnecessary clutter. Admins define the structure once, and marketers complete the brief, either manually or with AI.
What’s included
Create brief types - create a brief type from scratch or start with preset fields such as Objectives, Target Audience, and Message. Add an icon and description, then organize fields as needed.
Flexible fields - add and manage field types such as Text, Rich text, Boolean, Date and time, Timeline, and Budget. Add help text and intent to guide AI-generated content for each field.
Duplicate or remove brief types - copy existing brief types to save time or delete those that are no longer needed.
View and edit - browse all brief types in one place and open any type to edit or review its fields, description, usage, and details.
The latest release of Page builder includes the following improvements:
Field validation feedback is now clearer, with affected fields highlighted to help you quickly identify and resolve issues without searching.
You can now open a component directly in Design Studio from the Page builder right-hand panel to quickly review variants, inspect details, and create new variants.
The Insert Link dialog now shows the page slug or path as a tooltip in picker results, helping authors distinguish between pages with similar names and select the correct link target more easily.
The latest release of Page builder includes the following resolved issues:
Language write access restrictions are now correctly enforced, preventing unauthorized version creation and workflow updates for restricted languages.
Long Description help text now preserves line breaks, improving readability and aligning with Content Editor behavior.
Temporary draft datasource references are no longer persisted after interrupted saves, ensuring only valid datasource identifiers are stored.
When translating an item via the Content tab in Page builder, the translation status (for example, \"Already translated\", \"Existing version 1\", \"View content\") persisted and incorrectly rendered on a different item. These translation status messages are now correctly scoped to the active item.
The internal link dialog now respects the current language context, ensuring links are created in the active language.
Link fields now correctly display the page path when no link text is provided, without requiring a page refresh after setting a datasource.
TreeList fields now open and display all valid directories, allowing authors to browse and select items from any configured source path.
Tag Treelist fields now restrict selection to Tag items only, preventing authors from selecting Tag Folder items and aligning behavior with Content Editor.
TreeListEx fields now display the full set of selectable items instead of limiting results to 50.
Personalization and A/B/n testing through Marketer MCP and Agent API are now fully supported in SitecoreAI.
Previously, these Conversion Optimization-related workflows created through Marketer MCP or Agent API could encounter issues. As a result, personalizations and experiments created through these tools did not appear in the SitecoreAI UI.
What changed
With this update, related requests now use the appropriate service, so personalization and A/B/n testing workflows created through Marketer MCP or Agent API appear correctly in the SitecoreAI UI.

To avoid data inconsistencies, indexing issues, and schema instability, package exports now include a checksum to detect external modifications. If an exported package is modified externally before being re-imported, a warning is displayed and the user must explicitly acknowledge the import before it proceeds, preventing unsupported schema changes.

Site settings are now available as a dedicated tab in the Sites dashboard, alongside Overview, A/B/n tests, and Localization. This update makes navigation and site management more consistent and efficient.
You can still access site settings using the existing method by clicking Options > Settings on a site tile in Channels.
You can now open site settings directly from the Dashboard by selecting the Settings tab.
The Open Settings button that previously opened a separate window has been removed to streamline the experience.
You can now scope Question and Answer content to specific sites or sources using Question and Answer Groups.
When configuring Questions and Answers, you choose whether content is generated from specific sources or from all sources in your domain. This helps ensure that answers are relevant to the content you want to expose in your Search experience.
This enables you to:
Generate Q&A items using documents from a single source, giving you more control over how answers are constructed.
Use the question and answer group ID as the widget’s‘rfk_id’ to return results from only that group, ensuring that responses are relevant even when multiple sources are indexed within the same domain.
Alternatively, continue to generate Q&A items using all sources when a broader knowledge base is required.
This feature supports both offline and online Q&A generation, ensuring that new Q&A items are aligned with the selected source configuration.

Authors can now unpublish pages directly from Page builder to quickly take content offline without deleting it, while keeping all versions intact for future reuse. With these capabilities in place, Page builder now covers everything you previously relied on Experience Editor for and more.
Note that if you are still using JSS in chromes mode, you will effectively loose your only WYSIWG Editor as Page builder only supports Metadata Mode.

Use Content mode instead of Explorer
You can use Content mode to perform the most common Explorer workflows, including:
Creating pages, folders, and content items using guided insert options
Finding content through fast, flat search rather than browsing a deep tree

Content mode is optimized for speed and scale and reduces context switching by keeping creation, discovery, and editing in a single focused Page builder experience.
What this means for existing users
If you currently rely on Explorer:
There is no immediate action required, but we recommend transitioning everyday content authoring workflows to Content mode.
Some advanced or administrative scenarios may still require Content Editor, depending on your setup and roles.
We’re introducing contextual publishing insights in Page builder, giving editors clear visibility into the publishing state of their content across strategy, site, page, and datasource levels.
Content is now labelled with clear status indicators, including live, scheduled, no workflow, draft, and approved. These labels are visible across key areas of the authoring experience, including the version drop-down, the page items context panel, the page references view used for publishing, and the right-hand panel.
In addition, you can now also create a new content item version, and update its workflow state directly from the right-hand side configuration panel.
These enhancements provide greater transparency into content status and behavior, improved accuracy when publishing or updating content, and increased confidence in what will appear on the live site.

When using Page Branches with insert option rules, unchecking and rechecking the \"Page\" checkbox in the Page settings caused duplicate entries to appear in the \"Select a page template\" dialog. This has now been fixed.
The following improvements have been made to the delta crawler:
Delta crawling now removes indexed documents for URLs that have been deleted from a sitemap, helping prevent outdated content from appearing in search results.
Delta crawling is now available for sources with incremental updates enabled.

Component personalization is now available in SitecoreAI Page builder, making it easier to deliver targeted experiences at the component level.
You can now show different component variants to different visitors without personalizing the entire page. This gives you the flexibility to personalize multiple components on the same page, such as banners, messages, promotions, or calls to action, based on visitor profile data, conditions, or custom values.
Component personalization uses a decision table to evaluate each visitor against your configured rules. You can:
Define the inputs used for visitor evaluation.
Create personalization rules based on profile data, conditions, or custom values.
Map each rule to a corresponding component variant.
Rules are evaluated from top to bottom, and the first matching rule determines which variant is shown. If no rules match, the original component is displayed.
This gives marketers a flexible way to personalize specific areas of a page while keeping the rest of the experience unchanged.
You can also preview and test personalized components before starting the personalization. Analytics data becomes available as visitors begin seeing the live personalization.

The latest release of Page builder includes the following updates:
We added an option to See the live page to the Page builder Preview menu. Editors can now open the published version of the current page in a new tab for easy comparison.
Editors can now use a new Content mode link at the bottom of the Page content panel to quickly switch to Content mode.
When clicking on a form in the canvas, Page builder now shows the selected form name instead of a generic label, giving editors clear visibility of which form is currently being configured.
The latest release of Page builder also includes the following resolved issues:
Components with an empty datasource field no longer inherit the parent datasource and now correctly display no data.
The Create button is now disabled for items located under the Virtual Page Standard Values path.
Sitecore Marketplace apps now support a new permission that allows file downloads to the user's computer. This is relevant for apps that let users export files, such as analytics data in CSV or PDF format.
You can enable this permission during app configuration in App studio. If disabled, your app's download functionality will not function.
Note the following about Marketplace app permissions:
Enabled permissions are listed when installing an app.
If permissions change for an app that's already installed in an organization, an admin or owner needs to update the app in My apps for the changes to take effect.
Access Agentic Studio chat and agents directly from Page builder using the AI icon in the top navigation toolbar. From here, you can open the chat and view the list of agents available to work in Page builder.
You can open any Page builder compatible agent in the left-hand context panel to run it within the context of the site collection, site, or page currently opened in the canvas. This allows you to take actions tailored to your specific page and site without leaving your workflow.

The Marketer MCP now includes new tools for creating and managing component-level experiments (A/B/n tests) in SitecoreAI using natural language prompts. Powered by the Agent API, these capabilities help marketers automate experimentation workflows, configure variants, define goals, and manage traffic allocation more efficiently.
New tools
create_component_ab_test - create a component-level A/B/n test with variants, goals, and traffic settings.
update_ab_test - update an existing A/B/n test, including the name, goals, variants, and traffic distribution.
list_page_flows - list all flow definitions on a page, including personalizations and A/B/n tests.
set_component_variant - configure a component in a variant (copy, swap, or hide).
get_flow_definition - get details of a specific A/B/n test by ID.
get_flow_variant_by_id - get a specific test variant and its components setup.
The Agent REST API v2.0 introduces new endpoints for experiments, personalization, briefs, and flow definitions, along with deprecated v1.0 personalization endpoints and a breaking change to the brief generation path.
