The new version of the package import/export engine, currently available as a beta feature, will become the default in both the UI and CLI from Monday, Oct 6, 2025.
What should I do?
Start using the beta version now to ensure your deployment process works with the new engine.
If you use the CLI in CI/CD pipelines, update your scripts to ensure compatibility with the new engine. The CLI will start defaulting to the new engine unless otherwise specified, double-check your CI/CD is operating correctly.
The old engine will remain available for a short transition period to give you time to test and adjust before the switch takes effect. To revert, you’ll need to opt out manually in the UI or pass a flag in the CLI.
