Getting Started

Discover Sitecore

Learn how the SitecoreAI Marketplace enables organizations, partners, and developers to share, discover, and scale extensions.

In this episode, we take a deeper look at the SitecoreAI Marketplace and explore why it is a key part of the SitecoreAI extensibility model.

You'll learn how Marketplace apps differ from Custom Apps, why organizations benefit from installing Marketplace solutions, and how developers and partners can turn project-specific implementations into reusable and scalable products.

We also explore the Share Your Idea functionality, which allows the community to submit and vote on extension ideas. Highly requested ideas help shape future investments from Sitecore and the broader partner ecosystem.

Finally, we walk through the complete process of configuring and submitting a Marketplace App for review.

In this video, you'll learn:

What is SitecoreAI Marketplace?

- How Marketplace extends SitecoreAI through installable apps
- The difference between Custom Apps and Marketplace Apps
- How Marketplace supports reuse and ecosystem growth

Benefits of Using Marketplace Apps
- Faster time-to-value
- Reduced custom development effort
- Proven and reusable solutions
- Easy discovery and installation

Benefits of Building Marketplace Apps
- Build once, reuse many times
- Standardize solutions across customers and projects
- Share innovations with the ecosystem
- Create opportunities for monetization and broader adoption

Share Your Idea
- Submit enhancement ideas to the community
- Vote for existing ideas
- Help influence what gets built next by Sitecore and partners

Extending SitecoreAI: Marketplace Explained & Publishing Apps - Video Tutorials EP04

Build native UI for SitecoreAI with Blok Design System and MCPs.
In this video, Sebastian Winter focusses on the developer tooling that ensures your Custom Apps integrate seamlessly into SitecoreAI both in terms of design and implementation.
We’ll start with the Blok Design System, including the Blok Registry and Blok MCP, and then look at the Documentation MCP, which improves AI-driven development by grounding it in Sitecore documentation.

In this video, you’ll learn:

Blok Design System
• What Blok is and why it’s the design system for SitecoreAI
• How Blok ensures your apps look and behave like native platform features
• Why you don’t need to design UI components from scratch

Blok Registry & MCP
• How UI components (buttons, lists, links, etc.) are provided via the

Blok Registry
• How the Blok MCP connects AI tools to real components
• How to avoid hallucinated UI when using AI-assisted development

Hands-on: Configure Blok MCP
• How to set up MCP from blok.sitecore.com
• How to configure it in your IDE (VS Code)
• What happens behind the scenes (mcp.json)

Documentation MCP
• Why Sitecore provides a Docs MCP
• How it improves AI-generated code by using real documentation
• How to configure it directly from the docs experience

By the end of this video, you’ll have:
• A fully configured Blok MCP for UI development
• A Documentation MCP connected to your IDE
• A setup that enables AI-assisted development grounded in Sitecore standards

Extending SitecoreAI: Blok, Registry & MCP Explained + Setup - Video Tutorials EP03

Build your first Custom App in SitecoreAI from registration to running locally.
In this video, Sebastian Winter takes the next step in extending Sitecore AI by setting up a Custom App end to end.
You’ll learn how to register your app in App Studio, configure where it integrates into the platform, and make it available in your environment. From there, we’ll scaffold a working application using the Starter Kit, run it locally, and verify the connection to SitecoreAI.

In this video, you’ll learn:
• How to register a Custom App in App Studio
• How to configure a Custom App
• How to install your app into an environment
• How to scaffold a project using the Starter Kit
• How to run your app locally and connect it to Sitecore AI

You’ll also see how the Starter Kit provides working examples, including application context and API integration, so you can verify that everything is set up correctly.

By the end of this video, you’ll have a fully registered and running Custom App, ready for your own implementation.
