A new, beta version of the import/export engine significantly improves processing speed, offering up to 4x faster performance in typical environments.
As well as increasing speeds, the new engine also supports Email templates. It also introduces smarter handling of portal languages and cultures, meaning imports now succeed even if the source has more languages than the target, and the M.Setting.Cultures entity is treated as environment-specific and skipped. To prevent data mismatches, cultures must still be manually synced in the target environment.
You can also now import user groups that contain only member security data (without rules), enabling more flexible group configurations.
Finally, entity definitions marked for Creation from template are now correctly handled, including their associated copy profiles. Scripts that fall outside the Modified since range are excluded from exports, and imported scripts retain their published status from the source environment.
