We’re excited to announce the beta release of a new feature that allows you to:
Build and deploy the authoring environment and editing host separately.
Choose different repos for each authoring environment and editing host.
Add custom environment variables when creating a project or environment.
This feature provides several key benefits:
Optimized deployments for faster updates – deploy editing host changes without redeploying the authoring environment, significantly reducing deployment time.
Better developer experience - enjoy a streamlined editing host deployment process that is now independent of the backend and quickly find the log data you need thanks to separate logs for each of your components.
Independent repository linking – specify the repository for each authoring environment and editing host, ensuring modularity and ease of access to your code.

Notes:
Projects created before you enable this feature will not be affected and will continue to work as they did before.
Beta project environments cannot be promoted to a different environment.
The feature is only available from the Deploy app. The CLI is not supported.
Because this is a beta feature, you might encounter unexpected behavior. If that happens, please let us know so we can investigate it for you.
To enable the feature, log in to the Deploy app, click Settings, and turn on the feature switch.
