We have implemented additional measures to enhance the security and reliability of the XM Cloud-hosted editing hosts provided when you create and deploy a project with the JSS starter kit. These improvements ensure a more secure and robust environment for your content management needs.
Please note that these new measures do not apply to external editing hosts.
If your editing hosts are hosted on XM Cloud and use JSS 22.3.0 or earlier, we strongly recommend upgrading their JSS version to 22.3.1 or later using the following steps:
If you've made changes to the associated rendering host items, they must be restored to their default state before redeploying the editing hosts. When you redeploy an editing host, its hostname will change.
Open the Content Editor in the relevant XM Cloud environment and navigate to the
/sitecore/system/Settings/Services/Rendering Hosts/folder.Click a rendering host item associated with your editing host, then in the upper-right corner of the editing pane, click the version number.
If the item was modified by a user, delete the item to restore it to its default state. After deleting a rendering host item, you will see the following message: Some of the items are deleted from the database but restored from the resources.
Repeat for all rendering host items associated with your editing hosts.
2. Upgrade your editing hosts to JSS version 22.3.1 or later.
3. Build and redeploy the XM Cloud environment.
