The new version of the package import/export engine, currently available as a beta feature, will become the default in both the UI and CLI from Tuesday, September 30.
What should I do?
Start using the beta version now to make sure your deployment process works with the new engine.
If you use the CLI in CI/CD pipelines, update your scripts to use the new import/export engine explicitly—after September 30, the CLI will default to the new engine unless otherwise specified.
The old engine will remain available for a short transition period, but you’ll need to opt out manually in the UI or pass a flag in the CLI.
This gives you time to test and adjust before the switch takes effect.
