The Sitecore Marketplace enables customers, partners, and developers to build and use applications that add new capabilities to Sitecore.
With custom apps, you can create tailored extensions and customizations for one or multiple organizations, making it easier to deliver scalable, purpose-built functionality that fits your unique business needs. Whether you’re developing a new application or migrating existing solutions, the Marketplace makes it easier and faster to customize Sitecore for your organization.
What you can do in the Marketplace:
Create custom apps
Build Marketplace applications that extend and customize Sitecore for one or selected organizations. Unlike public apps, custom apps are only available in the Cloud Portal organization where they were created, plus any additional organizations you authorize—allowing you to deliver unique functionality while enabling optional multi-organization sharing.
Choose where your app appears
Select extension points (the areas in the Sitecore UI where your app will be visible) during configuration. Once installed, users can find the app directly in the chosen extension points:
Build with the Marketplace SDK
Use the Sitecore Marketplace SDK to quickly create and integrate apps with XM Cloud. We provide examples, references, and configuration guidance to accelerate development, ensure smooth integration, and streamline registration, installation, and maintenance.
Use the app in one or multiple organizations
Register a single app and make it available to only your own organization, or multiple organizations you authorize. This makes it easy for developers and partners to create an app once, and share it with multiple organizations as needed.
