Multicondition audience filtering in Sitecore Personalize

We’re pleased to announce a significant improvement to how you define conditions for experiments and experiences in Sitecore Personalize. You can now add multiple conditions when filtering audiences. Previously, each filter supported a single condition only.

With this change, you can now:

• Add up to five conditions and connect them using And or Or operators.

• Combine out-of-the-box and custom conditions when creating audience filters.

• Move one or more conditions into nested groups of conditions to enable more complex logic structures.

How conditions are evaluated

Audience conditions are evaluated in the following sequence:

1. Conditions within a group are evaluated first, following their order within the group.

2. Conditions preceded by And are evaluated next.

3. Conditions preceded by Or are evaluated last.

Current singular condition tests will not be impacted by the changes, any new or edited existing tests will avail of the new features.

It is important to note that multiple conditions are designed to and will always output a true/false result. A singular condition may still output a value however. Please familiarise yourself with our best practice guide for more detail on combining conditions.
